Ondo APC Holds Fresh Congress Amid Court Ruling

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) conducted a fresh congress on Wednesday, following a federal high court ruling that nullified a previous congress held on March 3, 2026. This ruling was a response to a lawsuit that challenged the legitimacy of the earlier congress.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who spoke at the event, called for unity among party members and highlighted the significance of the congress in resolving internal rifts. The congress was attended by various party chieftains and officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission, ensuring a smooth process.

Newly elected chairman Babatund Kolawol, along with his deputy Olabamidel Olanubi and other executives, assured members of their commitment to strengthening the party and preparing for future elections. The congress demonstrated the APC's resilience despite recent challenges, with Aiyedatiwa expressing gratitude for the support received and emphasizing the need for collective action to achieve the party's goals.
