Aiyedatiwa Condemns Indigenes' Role in Bomb Plot

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has expressed dismay at the involvement of local indigenes in a recent foiled bomb attempt. The Ondo State Police Command arrested six suspects who were allegedly planning to execute a bombing within the Akure metropolis.

Aiyedatiwa described the situation as troubling, questioning the motives behind the plot and the role of the indigenes in colluding with outsiders. He stated, "The people just woke up wanting to bomb us," emphasizing that it is concerning for citizens of Ondo State to join forces with external elements to carry out such attacks.

The governor assured that efforts are ongoing to tackle security issues in the state and highlighted the importance of improving intelligence gathering and collaboration with residents to enhance security responses. He reiterated that no nation is completely free of crime and that the state will not succeed in its security efforts without the cooperation of its citizens.
