Aiyedatiwa Dismisses Aides, Plans 1,000 New Appointments

Governor Lucki Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has announced the immediate dismissal of his political aides, which includes Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs). This decision was disclosed on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenez Adeniyan, as part of an effort to improve efficiency and enhance service delivery within the state's administrative framework.

The governor expressed gratitude for the contributions of the dismissed aides and wished them well in their future endeavors. Concurrently, Aiyedatiwa is set to expand his political team by appointing approximately 1,000 new aides across the state's 203 wards and 18 local government areas.

This move comes ahead of the 2027 general elections, following a series of voluntary resignations from aides within his administration.
