Three Ondo State Aides Resign in 48 Hours

In a significant political shift, three aides of Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa have resigned within a span of 48 hours. The latest resignation is from Yinka Richard, who served as the Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties.

Richard submitted his resignation letter on February 16, 2026, which is set to take effect on February 18, 2026. In his letter addressed to the governor, Richard expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in the administration and described his tenure as a privilege that allowed him to contribute to the development initiatives in Ondo State.

He indicated that his decision was made after careful consideration, as he intends to focus on advancing his political career. This development follows the resignations of two senior media aides, Pastor Taiwo Ilesanmi Gbamila and Olugbenga Abir, although the reasons for their resignations have not been publicly disclosed.

The Ondo State Government has yet to issue an official statement regarding this wave of resignations.
