Ondo State Hosts RHI Social Investment Programme

On Tuesday, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State will host Hajia Nana Shettima, the wife of the Vice-President, who will represent Senator Oluremi Tinubu at the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Social Investment Programme in Akure. The programme, part of the Food Outreach Scheme, aims to distribute approximately 1,800 bags of rice and other food items to vulnerable groups including widows, persons with disabilities, and senior citizens.

Dr Seun Osamaye, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, stated that the event will take place at the International Event Centre (The Dome), Alagbaka, starting at 10 a.m. Governor Aiyedatiwa and his wife, Mrs Esther Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, will receive the delegation.

The initiative is designed to alleviate the economic challenges faced by vulnerable populations in the state. Beneficiaries have been selected from recognized associations and local government areas to ensure proper distribution of the relief materials.

Additionally, another empowerment programme will occur on Wednesday, targeting 1,000 women entrepreneurs.
