Olugbenga Omol Declares Candidacy for Ondo Assembly Seat

Olugbenga Omol, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former special adviser on transport to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, declared his intention to contest for the Akoko South West Constituency I seat in the Ondo State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections. The announcement was made during a community empowerment event in Oka Akoko, where he unveiled a 20 million naira development fund aimed at supporting youth, students, artisans, market women, farmers, and transport workers.

Omol emphasized his commitment to quality representation and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the people. He also highlighted his previous achievements, including job creation through government agencies, support for the Amotekun Corp, and the distribution of COVID-19 relief palliatives.

His candidacy has received endorsement from Victor Olabimtan, the chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, who described him as a trusted leader.
