Ajibade Leads Super Falcons Camp for Cameroon Friendlies

Rasheedat Ajibade, the captain of the Cameroon national team, is leading a 17-player camp in Yaoundé, Cameroon, in preparation for two high-profile friendly matches against Nigeria's Super Falcons. The matches are scheduled for February 28 and March 3, 2026, at the Military Stadium and are part of the preparations for the 14th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) set to take place in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026.

Nigeria, a record 10-time winner, aims to fine-tune tactics and fitness levels to defend their title. The Super Falcons are drawn in Group C alongside Zambia, Egypt, and debutants Malawi, with their tournament campaign starting against Malawi on March 18 in Casablanca.

The Cameroonian team, runners-up in 2016, will compete in Group D against Ghana, Mali, and Cape Verde. The training session on Thursday at the Stade Omnisport Ahmadu Ahidjo is particularly significant as Nigeria previously defeated Cameroon 1-0 in the 2016 AFCON final.
