Super Falcons Camp Welcomes Ajibade Ahead of Friendlies

On Monday, Rasheedat Ajibade, the captain of the Super Falcons, along with nine other players, joined the team's camp in Yaoundé, Cameroon, in preparation for two friendly matches against the host team. The players arrived as part of the squad's training regimen, which is set to take place at Stade Omnisport Ahmad Ahidjo at 4:30 PM.

The media officer, Mari Akinsola, confirmed the arrivals, which include players based in various countries such as Canada’s Ngozi Okobi, Glory Ogbonna from Israel, and Esther Onyenezide from Madrid. Other players include Fatima Okolo, Angel Favour Nkwocha, Precious Christoph, and Oluwatosin Demehin, who plays for Galatasaray in Turkey.

The friendly matches are scheduled for Saturday and Tuesday, March 3, and are intended to prepare the team for the 13th Women African Cup of Nations (WAFCON), which will take place from March 13 to April 3, 2026. The four semi-finalists of the tournament will qualify directly for the next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
