Ajimobi Denies Plotting Makinde's Impeachment Allegations

Florence Ajimobi, the former First Lady of Oyo State, has addressed allegations suggesting she is involved in a plot to impeach the current Governor, Seyi Makinde. In a statement issued by her media office, Ajimobi categorically denied any connection to financial inducements aimed at influencing members of the Oyo State House of Assembly for this purpose.

She described the allegations as a deliberate attempt to tarnish her reputation and mislead the public. Ajimobi emphasized that she did not host or attend any meetings in Lagos with the intention of influencing the state assembly.

Her response follows separate denials from lawmakers, including Gbenga Oyekola, the Deputy Speaker, and Abiodun Moham Fadeyi, who distanced themselves from the alleged plot to destabilize the state government, which reportedly involved receiving inducements from political figures.
