Akintunde Rotimi Wins APC Primaries for Ekiti North I

Akintunde Rotimi emerged victorious in the APC primaries for the Ekiti North I federal constituency, securing the party's ticket ahead of the next general elections. He won in 22 out of 24 wards across the Ikole and Oye Local Government Areas.

The primaries were highly competitive, with Rotimi defeating nine other aspirants, including former lawmaker Bimbo Daramola, Erelu Kemi Elebut, and Engr Ayo Omotosho. Prior to the primaries, three aspirants—Mr.

Funk Owoseni, Kayod Omoboya, and Barr Yemi Ayeni—stepped down and publicly endorsed Rotimi's re-election bid. The voting process lasted two days and was described as peaceful and transparent by party members.

The outcome reflects Rotimi's growing influence and grassroots support within the constituency. He currently serves as the spokesperson for the House of Representatives in the 10th Assembly and has been actively engaged in public discourse to strengthen his legislative profile within the APC.
