Rotimi Wins APC House of Reps Primaries in Ekiti

Rotimi won the APC primaries for the House of Representatives in the 22/24 ward constituency, defeating former member Bimbo Daramola. The primaries were competitive, featuring nine aspirants, but ultimately produced a clear outcome favoring the incumbent.

Three aspirants formally stepped down to endorse Rotimi's candidacy, including Funk Owoseni, Kayod Omoboya, and Yemi Ayodel Ayeni. The primaries were supported by various stakeholders, including chairmen from eight local government areas, local council development area councillors, women leaders, youth leaders, and political office holders across Ekiti State.

Rotimi, who currently serves as the spokesman for the House of Representatives in the 10th assembly, has built a profile around legislative visibility and active engagement in national discourse. The primaries were conducted peacefully and underscored internal party democracy within the APC, resulting in a decisive mandate for Rotimi ahead of the general election cycle.
