Akin Rotimi Wins APC Primary for Oye/Ikole Constituency

Akin Rotimi has been affirmed as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Oye/Ikole federal constituency, having received a total of 7,483 votes. His main opponent, Bimbo Daramola, garnered 5,209 votes in a highly contested primary held on Saturday.

The announcement of Rotimi as the winner was made on Wednesday night by Wasiu Adebanjo, the chairman of the APC primary election committee. The primary had previously been declared inconclusive, leading to a review by the APC National Working Committee (NWC) to resolve disputes surrounding the election process.

Adebanjo noted that the party decided to release the outcome after a thorough review, in accordance with APC's internal guidelines.
