Akpabio, Jibrin Win APC Primary Tickets for 2027 Elections

In the recent All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries, key candidates such as Godswill Akpabio, who is the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, Opeyemi Bamidele, Orji Uzor Kalu, and Ali Ndume emerged victorious in securing their party tickets for the upcoming 2027 general elections. Akpabio won the ticket for the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District, with a significant turnout from party members at the Methodist School in Ukana, Essien Udim Local Government Area.

The atmosphere was described as celebratory, with party members expressing confidence in Akpabio's leadership. Barau Jibrin also secured his ticket for the Kano North Senatorial District, with thousands of APC supporters attending the primaries at the party headquarters in Bichi Local Government Area.

The primaries were conducted under the supervision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and were praised for their orderly conduct. Both Akpabio and Jibrin urged voters to support APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
