APC Senate Primaries: Akpabio and Governors Secure Wins

In the recent All Progressives Congress (APC) Senate primaries, Godswill Akpabio emerged victorious for the Akwa Ibom North West senatorial district, securing 121,425 votes. Other winners included Jibrin Barau, who became the APC candidate for Kano North, and Ramalan Yero, who won the Kaduna North district with 6,060 votes, defeating Muhammad Mu Azu Mukadda and Yusuf Bala Ikara.

The primaries took place at various locations, including Kano, Gombe, and Kaduna, with reports indicating a peaceful and orderly process overseen by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Despite the successes, notable figures like Rochas Okorocha and Ned Nwoko faced defeats in their respective bids.
