Akpabio Breaks Silence On Ill Health As He Returns From London

Senator Akpabio has returned to Nigeria from a vacation in London, dismissing reports of ill health upon his arrival at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. He clarified that his trip was a short vacation following his attendance at the sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva, Switzerland.

Akpabio emphasized his commitment to legislative engagement as the Senate resumes from recess. He also warned the Senate about the reality show of recalling senators, referencing his own suspension earlier this year.

The Senator's aide, Kenny Okolugbo, revealed plans to approach the Appeal Court to challenge the judgment that led to Akpabio's suspension, arguing that it contradicts the decision of the Federal High Court. Akpabio urged the suspended lawmakers to publicly apologize instead of relying on court judgments.
