Akpabio Prays in Italy for Peaceful 2027 Elections

Dr. Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, visited the Prayer Ground of St. Padre PIO in St. Giovanni Rotondo, Italy, to offer prayers for a peaceful 2027 elections and to seek an end to banditry and terrorism in Nigeria. In an interview with St. Padre PIO TV/Radio, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to pray on the holy ground, emphasizing the significance of the site for believers.

Akpabio recounted a personal experience where St. PIO interceded for the miraculous healing of his wife, Mrs. Unoma Akpabio, who was critically ill in a German hospital. He described how he used a picture of St. PIO to bless her, leading to her unexpected recovery.

This visit marked his tenth time at the site, where he also expressed thanks for St. PIO's intercessions and mentioned establishing the PIO Football Academy in his honor, aimed at providing scholarships to underprivileged children.
