Akpabio Urges Prayers for Peace During Eid el Maulud

On the occasion of Eid el Maulud, Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Senate, called on Nigerian Muslims to offer special prayers for peace, unity, security, and economic prosperity in Nigeria. His message was conveyed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh.

Akpabio highlighted the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad as a model of compassion, tolerance, humility, and service to humanity. He urged Muslims to reflect on these virtues and to pray for the nation’s leaders and for unity among citizens.

Akpabio stressed that Nigeria's diversity should be seen as a strength and encouraged a culture of peaceful coexistence. Additionally, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful, emphasizing the need for unity and peace.

She prayed that the celebration would strengthen bonds among Nigerians and bring renewed hope and blessings. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to promoting national cohesion and improving the welfare of Nigerians.
