Akpabio Highlights Nigeria's Economic Gains Since 2023

On a solemn occasion at the funeral service for the late Essien Ubeng held at the Methodist Church Nigeria in Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, the President of the Nigerian Senate, highlighted the tremendous gains Nigeria has made in both the economy and security since 2023. He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their transformative leadership, stating that the administration has recorded significant improvements across various sectors.

Akpabio emphasized that despite the challenges faced, the country has made measurable progress and has not yet reached its full potential. He acknowledged the unwavering support of the Federal Executive Council and the collaboration between the executive and legislative arms as essential for sustaining reforms and deepening democratic governance.

Akpabio also reflected on his long-standing relationship with the deceased, describing him as a pillar within the family and church, while urging the congregation to live meaningful lives.
