South Africa Joins Nigeria's Five-Nation T20 Tournament

Uyi Akpata, the President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), welcomed South Africa's participation in the upcoming Five-Nation T20 Invitational Tournament, which is set to take place in Lagos from March 18 to March 29. The tournament will also include teams from Zimbabwe, Rwanda, and Ghana.

Akpata highlighted the significance of South Africa's involvement, noting it as a testament to Nigeria's growing confidence in the international cricket community. He emphasized the privilege of hosting South Africa, a powerhouse in cricket, and acknowledged the hard work of the NCF in promoting the sport.

Akpata also mentioned that the Nigerian women's team is prepared to compete against top players from South Africa and Zimbabwe. The tournament is sponsored by Lotu Bank, which aims to ensure its success.

Preparations are underway at two venues, Tafawa Balewa Square and UNILAG Cricket Oval, to provide a suitable environment for the matches.
