Akwa Ibom's Etinan Revives Rural Economy with Power and Water Projects

In Akwa Ibom State, the Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Hon Uko Friday Umoh, announced initiatives to revive the rural economy through power and water projects. The council has successfully addressed water scarcity in several rural communities by restoring functional water projects, providing clean water access to residents, and reducing dependence on unsafe water sources.

Additionally, efforts have been made to improve power supply by installing new poles and transformers, bringing electricity to previously dark areas like Ikot Nkang and Ikot Ibok. These projects aim to enhance economic security, healthcare, education, and infrastructure development across the 12 wards of the council.
