Akwa Ibom State Orders Immediate Fix for Collapsed Bridge in Mbo

The Akwa Ibom State Government has directed the immediate remediation of the collapsed Unyenge Bridge in Mbo Local Government Area. Amitec Construction Development Limited has been mobilized for the construction work within 24 hours of the incident.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, Alic Ekpenyong, highlighted the plan for temporary and long-term reconstruction. The temporary solution involves building a steel and laterite bridge to restore access.

Residents welcomed the intervention, expressing optimism in the government's commitment to delivering promised projects.
