Akwa Ibom to Launch Arise Palm Resort in May 2023

Akwa Ibom State is preparing to inaugurate the Arise Palm Resort and several other projects in May 2023, as announced by Governor Umo Eno during a recent inspection in Uyo. The governor declared Akwa Ibom ready to be recognized as a global tourist destination, committing to the timely delivery of 86 priority projects outside of roads, hospitals, and schools.

Eno highlighted the importance of tourism, stating that Akwa Ibom will become a second home for tourists, with agriculture playing a key role in the tourism sector. The state government approved N2.5 billion for the procurement of 620,000 palm seedlings to be distributed to registered farmers across 31 local government areas.

The Arise Palm Resort is a signature project located on Domin Utuk Avenue in Uyo, aimed at transforming the site into a world-class destination. Governor Eno assured that the project would be delivered according to specifications, with ongoing support from stakeholders and investors.
