Alara of Aramoko Ekiti, Oba Olu Adegoke Adeyemi is dead

Oba Olu Adegoke Adeyemi, the Alara of Aramoko Ekiti in Ekiti State, has passed away at the age of 82. The news of his death was confirmed in a statement issued by his family on Saturday, noting his remarkable leadership, wisdom, and commitment to the welfare of his people.

Oba Adeyemi, born on December 4, 1942, started his career as a teacher and later became a senior civil servant before ascending the throne of Alara Aramoko Ekiti in 2009. During his reign, he focused on improving education standards, expanding access to local students, fostering unity, driving community development, and preserving cultural heritage.
