NAFDAC Warns Against Indomie Vegetable Flavour Noodles Due to Undeclared Allergens

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has cautioned Nigerians against consuming Indomie Vegetable Flavour noodles following the presence of undeclared allergens, specifically milk and egg. The alert stems from a recall notice issued by French authorities regarding the same product, highlighting potential health risks for individuals with milk and egg allergies.

While the official risk of the product entering Nigeria is low due to a ban on noodle imports, NAFDAC urges heightened vigilance to prevent illicit entries. Consumers are advised to exercise caution within the supply chain and discard any recalled foreign brand Indomie noodles.
