Lawmaker Alex Ikwechegh Resigns from APGA After Assault

Alex Mascot Ikwechegh, a member of the House of Representatives representing Aba North and Aba South Federal Constituency in Nigeria, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). This decision comes in the wake of an incident where Ikwechegh assaulted a Bolt driver.

He conveyed his resignation in a letter addressed to the ward chairman, which takes immediate effect. In the letter, Ikwechegh expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunity to serve and contribute during his membership.

He did not disclose specific reasons for his departure from APGA. The resignation is expected to elicit significant political reactions across Abia State, particularly in Aba, although the party leadership has yet to issue an official response to his resignation at the time of reporting.
