Brazil will host the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup, and two North African nations have already secured spots there. Algeria and Morocco earned their berths by progressing past the quarter-finals of the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations tournament held in Morocco.

The continental championship's format grants automatic World Cup qualification to teams reaching the semi-finals. In a thrilling turnaround, Algeria's squad came from behind to eliminate Côte d'Ivoire with a 2-1 result.
