Alia Commits to Ending Insecurity in Benue State

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has vowed to tackle insecurity and restore peace across communities in the state. On Monday, he received a briefing regarding the deployment of additional security personnel to troubled areas, particularly Kwand Local Government Area, which has recently become the epicenter of attacks.

These incidents have resulted in the deaths of several individuals, including security operatives. The latest attack occurred in Nyihemba, where Aondohemba Kave, 43, was reportedly shot, and Tyolumum Tsenongu sustained gunshot injuries.

In a statement, Governor Alia commended the efforts of security agencies to restore calm and emphasized the need for justice against those perpetrating insecurity. He assured residents that the government is committed to ensuring their safety and security, warning that those who disrupt peace will be hunted down and prosecuted.

Alia declared that he will not be intimidated and will decisively crush insecurity in Benue State.
