ALIWA Urges Values-Based Leadership in Nigeria to Address Challenges

The African Leadership Initiative West Africa (ALIWA) has urged Nigeria to adopt values-based leadership to address the country's social, economic, and governance challenges. The National Leadership Dialogue, themed "Reimagining Leadership for a Changing World," emphasized the significance of leaders anchoring their decisions on strong values rather than personal ambitions.

The event, held in Lagos, brought together leaders from various sectors to discuss the role of values in shaping leadership in the 21st century. ALIWA President, Mr.

Soji Apampa, highlighted the organization's mission to nurture leaders who prioritize values and collaborative action for national progress. Keynote speaker Dr.

Okechukwu Enelamah emphasized the importance of integrating values into leadership, promoting transparency, and accountability. The dialogue featured panel sessions on building resilient leadership systems and ethical decision-making.

Notable participants included Amina Oyagbola, founder of Women in Successful Careers (WISCAR), and Prof. Fabian Ajogwu SAN, showcasing tangible examples of values-driven leadership in institutions and communities.
