Alkali Denies PDP Links, Calls Viral Images Doctored

Rufa Ahm Alkali, a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has publicly denied any affiliation with the People's Democratic Party (PDP), describing viral images that suggest such a connection as doctored and malicious. In a statement made available to journalists, Alkali clarified that the images were manipulated to mislead the public and create confusion regarding his political affiliations.

He noted that he attended the APC national convention on March 27, 2026, in Abuja, where he contributed as the chairman of the rapporteur sub-committee. Alkali emphasized that he formally resigned from the PDP nearly a decade ago and has since been involved with the APC and the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

He accused unnamed individuals of orchestrating a misinformation campaign against him and reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC, expressing commitment to the party's success in the upcoming 2027 elections under the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
