CAF Announces 16 Teams for 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has revealed the 16 teams for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations, including Cameroon, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Mali, and reigning champions Morocco. Nigeria, eliminated in the preliminary stage, may have a chance to qualify through potential playoffs.

CAF decided to use FIFA's world rankings to fill the remaining spots, with Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Mali, and Egypt securing places based on their rankings. The tournament dates and draw are yet to be confirmed, with the top four teams qualifying for the 2027 Women's World Cup.
