APC Sweeps Local Government Seats in Niger State Amid Controversies

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has emerged victorious in all 25 local government council chairmanship seats in Niger State. The Niger State Independent Electoral Commission (NSIEC) released results indicating APC candidates as winners.

However, disputes arose in Paikoro Local Government Area, leading to the suspension of a party member, Hon. Yusuf Kure, for alleged anti-party activities.

The situation escalated due to conflicting claims by two candidates, causing confusion and necessitating the suspension. Efforts to resolve the issue internally have been unsuccessful.
