21-Year-Old Shot at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Residence

On early Sunday, around 1:30 AM, Austin Tucker Martin, a 21-year-old, allegedly approached the north gate of Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida armed with a shotgun. According to Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw, Martin encountered two Secret Service agents and a sheriff's deputy just inside the perimeter.

When ordered to drop his weapon, Martin instead raised the shotgun, leading the agents to fire their weapons, resulting in Martin's death at the scene. No officers were reported injured.

A silver Volkswagen belonging to Martin was found nearby, containing a box that appeared to carry the shotgun. The FBI is leading the investigation into Martin's motives for traveling from North Carolina to Florida.

Family members expressed shock at his death, describing him as a good kid and an avid Trump supporter. The incident adds to a history of security threats surrounding Trump's properties, especially with the upcoming 2024 campaign season.
