Shinkafi Petitions IGP Over Viral Video Alleging Fraud

Sani Shinkafi, a former governorship candidate in Zamfara State, has submitted a petition to the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu, and other security agencies concerning a viral social media video. The video, attributed to China-based social media influencer Bello Galadanchi, falsely accuses former Zamfara State Governor Abdul Aziz Yari of diverting N1.7 trillion from the federal account through AJAP Financial Services.

Shinkafi's petition, which also includes Deputy Inspector General of Police and the Director of the Nigeria Police Force's Cybercrime Centre, argues that the video is politically motivated and has damaged Yari's reputation. The petition emphasizes the need for a thorough investigation into the allegations and condemns the harassment and cyberbullying of public figures.
