Former Aviation Minister Stella Oduah Arraigned on Fraud Charges in Abuja Court

Former Aviation Minister Stella Oduah and Gloria Odita have been arraigned in a Nigerian court on fraud charges related to obtaining funds through false pretenses and breach of trust. The charges amount to N2.4 billion allegedly obtained from the Federal Ministry of Aviation, Broad Water Resources Nigeria Ltd, and Global Offshore Marine Ltd in 2014.

Oduah and Odita pleaded not guilty and were granted bail. The court ordered them to surrender their travel documents.

The trial is set to begin in February 2026. The prosecution did not oppose bail, and the Attorney General of the Federation appeared in court to prosecute the case.
