Former Minister Chris Ngige Remanded in Kuje Prison Over ₦2.2Bn Fraud Allegations

The former Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige, has been remanded in Kuje Prison by the Federal Capital Territory High Court over allegations of ₦2.2 billion fraud during his time supervising the NSITF. Ngige faces eight counts of charges for allegedly awarding contracts worth billions to companies linked to unfair advantages.

The court has adjourned the case to hear Ngige's bail application. The EFCC is prosecuting the case, with Sylvanus Tahir representing the agency.
