Court Adjourns Ex-Aviation Minister's N4.2bn Fraud Trial Until March 5

The trial of former Aviation Minister Stella Oduah, accused of an alleged N4.2bn fraud, has been adjourned by Justice Hamza Muazu in an Abuja court until March 5. Oduah, along with Gloria Odita and others, faces charges related to fraudulently obtaining over N2.4bn from the Federal Ministry of Aviation.

The prosecution alleges that Oduah and Odita conspired to obtain the funds under false pretenses for various services. Additionally, Oduah is accused of misappropriating funds earmarked for contract awards during her time as minister.

The defense has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The trial was adjourned to allow Oduah to submit an application to the Attorney General's office in line with the provisions of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015.
