EFCC and ICPC Urged to Probe Alleged N6.5bn Diversion in Kano

Civil Society Organizations in Kano have demanded a thorough investigation into the alleged diversion of N6.5 billion by Kano state officials. The protest staged by the groups aimed to push for accountability and transparency regarding the scandal linked to a Kano state official, Abdullahi Rogo.

The organizations expressed their support for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to pursue the case without political interference. The protesters emphasized the need for the authorities to uphold justice and resist any attempts to downplay the seriousness of the allegations, calling for a comprehensive probe into the matter.
