Amaechi Camp Rejects ADC Presidential Primary as Sham

The Rotimi Amaechi camp has publicly rejected the results of the Imo State presidential primary conducted by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), calling the process a "sham." Chibuik Rotimi Amaechi, the Orlu zonal coordinator of the Amaechi campaign structure, stated that no primary election took place in the state, as there were no official materials, polling units, or accredited agents present. The ADC's national chairman, Eko Atu, announced that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar won the primary with 52,200 votes, while Amaechi received 7,659 votes, placing second.

The Amaechi camp accused the ADC of conducting the primary in secret locations without proper oversight, compromising electoral integrity. They have called on the national leadership of the ADC to cancel the primary and conduct a fresh, transparent election across all wards, asserting that anything less would be an assault on democracy.
