Amaechi Rejects ADC Presidential Primary Results

Rotimi Amaechi, a former governor of Rivers State, unequivocally rejected the results of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary, which he described as a "concocted result." He made this statement on Tuesday following widespread reports of voter disenfranchisement during the primary. Amaechi insisted that he would not accept the outcome, asserting that the process was not free, fair, or transparent.

He previously stated that he would accept the results of the primaries only if they reflected credible and transparent electoral standards. Amaechi claimed that nearly 80% of ADC members were prevented from voting, raising concerns about the moral integrity of the party's electoral process.

He criticized the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for alleged electoral malpractices, including vote buying and manipulation, which he argued disenfranchised party members and did not meet democratic standards.
