Amaechi Accepts Vice Presidential Role with Atiku

Chibuike Amaechi has accepted the role of running mate to Atiku Abubakar for the upcoming presidential election under the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This announcement was confirmed by Sampson, the former chairman of the ADC in Rivers State, on Saturday.

Prior to this, Amaechi contested in the ADC presidential primary elections but lost to Atiku Abubakar. Following the primary elections, Amaechi publicly declared his dissatisfaction with the outcome, alleging that the process was rigged in favor of Atiku.

Despite these grievances, when approached about accepting the vice presidential role, Amaechi simply agreed. This development marks a significant shift in Amaechi's political trajectory after his earlier rejection of the primary election results.
