Amaechi Wins ADC Presidential Primaries in Bayelsa State

Chibuik Rotimi Amaechi emerged victorious in the ADC presidential primaries held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on Tuesday. He received 44,404 votes, defeating former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who garnered 6,570 votes, and Moham Hayatu Deen, who received 939 votes.

The primaries were conducted across eight local government areas and involved direct voting across 105 wards in the state. A total of 56,356 voters were registered, with 53,298 accredited and 51,913 valid votes cast, while 1,785 votes were rejected.

Commodore Dappa (retd), the chairman of the ADC presidential primary committee in Bayelsa State, officially declared Amaechi as the winner. Hayatu Deen announced that he would not participate in the next stage of the exercise, citing allegations of irregularities.
