Amaechi Rejects ADC Presidential Primary Results

Rotimi Amaechi, the former Minister of Transport and Governor of Rivers State, has publicly rejected the results of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary held recently. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Amaechi described the results as "concocted" and insisted that they do not reflect a fair and transparent electoral process.

He accused the ADC leadership of betraying the party's ideals and claimed that a significant portion of party members, approximately 80%, were denied the opportunity to vote during the primary exercise. Amaechi stated that the ADC was created to amplify the voices of ordinary Nigerians and provide a platform for the downtrodden.

He criticized the party for engaging in electoral malpractice, which he believes led to the disenfranchisement of voters. Although the ADC's national leadership has not yet formally announced the final results, early counts indicate that Atiku Abubakar is in the lead, with Amaechi in second place and Moham Hayatu-Deen in third.
