Amaechi Threatens to Leave ADC Over Obi's Favoritism

Rotimi Amaechi, a former Minister of Transport, threatened to leave the African Democratic Congress (ADC) over what he perceived as preferential treatment for Peter Obi. This disclosure was made by Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC spokesman, during an interview with Symfoni TV on Thursday.

Abdullahi noted that Amaechi felt the ADC chairman was overly accommodating towards Obi, conceding too much to him and his two deputies. Amaechi reportedly expressed doubts about the leadership of the party, questioning the nomination process and the influence of Obi within the party.

Abdullahi also mentioned that Osita Chidoka, a former Minister of Aviation, had been working hard to build the coalition and that the ADC was striving to create hope for the nation. The situation reflects internal tensions within the ADC regarding leadership dynamics and the integration of prominent figures like Obi.
