Tinubu Redeploys Fani-Kayode as Ambassador to South Africa

President Bola Tinubu has approved the redeployment of Femi Fani-Kayode as Nigeria's ambassador-designate to South Africa. This decision comes after Fani-Kayode reportedly rejected a previous ambassadorial position in Germany.

He disclosed that he preferred South Africa, citing a shared conviction and values in world affairs, as well as the country's status as one of Africa's largest economies and its proximity to Nigeria. Fani-Kayode announced this development, expressing gratitude to President Tinubu for the approval.

The formal announcement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, who considered Fani-Kayode's reasons for the redeployment favorably. The initial announcement regarding the position in Germany was made two days prior to this approval.
