Amnesty International Condemns Plateau State Midnight Attack

Amnesty International condemned the killing of 12 people during a midnight attack in Zongo Village, located in the Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State. The organization reported that the victims included pregnant women and children.

It was noted that at least 10 residents are currently receiving treatment for gunshot injuries sustained during the attack. Amnesty International described the incident as horrific, alleging that entire families were locked inside their homes and killed during the assault.

The organization has warned the Nigerian government regarding the ongoing human rights violations in the region, emphasizing the need for accountability and protection for civilians.
