Fresh Attack in Plateau Claims Lives of Pregnant Women

A tragic attack occurred in Plateau State around midnight, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including pregnant women. Philip Alanga, a community member, reported that the assailants stormed the area, shooting sporadically and causing panic among residents.

Chigoji Rocku confirmed the fatalities during the attack. Danjuma Auta, the Secretary General of the Irigw Development Association, described the incident as tragic and condemned the recurring violence in the Bassa Local Government Area.

He urged security agencies to intensify efforts to protect lives and property in rural communities and called for swift action to track down those responsible for the attack to ensure justice and deter further violence. Captain Polycarp Oteh of the State Police Command was mentioned, but there was no response to inquiries at the time of reporting.
