Amnesty International and PDP Condemn Abduction of Pedro Obaseki in Edo State

Amnesty International and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) have strongly condemned the reported abduction and humiliation of Pedro Obaseki, a renowned Nigerian filmmaker and cousin of former Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, by a group of youth in Benin City. The incident, which occurred at Uwa Primary School, involved Pedro Obaseki being stripped and dragged on the streets.

Both organizations have called for a thorough investigation by the Nigerian police to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice, emphasizing the need to uphold human rights and dignity.
