Amotekun Corps Rescues Eight Kidnap Victims in Ondo

The Amotekun Corps successfully rescued eight individuals who had been kidnapped in the Ondo State's Akure North Local Government Area. The operation, disclosed by the Corps' spokesperson, Adetunji Adeley, took place on Thursday and involved intelligence gathering to locate the kidnappers' hideout in the forest.

During the operation, Amotekun personnel engaged in a gun battle with the kidnappers, who subsequently fled, allowing for the safe release of the victims. Notably, the rescue was accomplished without any ransom being paid, as Adeley emphasized that not a kobo was given to the kidnappers.

The operation was conducted professionally, ensuring that the victims were unharmed. Adeley commended the efforts of the security operatives and indicated that ongoing operations aim to apprehend the fleeing suspects and prevent further kidnappings in the area.
