ADC Chieftain Criticizes INEC Chairman Amupitan's Bias

Joemartin Uzodike, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), expressed strong criticism of Joash Amupitan, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), stating that Amupitan is not capable of presiding over electoral affairs without bias. Uzodike's remarks came in response to INEC's recent withdrawal of recognition, which he described as a serious embarrassment to the legal system.

He accused Amupitan of failing to uphold the law and suggested that his interpretations of legal matters have led to a leadership vacuum within the electoral body. Uzodike characterized Amupitan's demeanor during a television interview as indicative of a lack of independence, further asserting that his actions have already caused significant issues in Nigeria's electoral process.

He emphasized that Amupitan's conduct is disgraceful and has undermined the integrity of the electoral system.
