Tobi Amusan Sets New Record at Diamond League in Rabat

Tobi Amusan, a 29-year-old athlete, achieved a remarkable victory at the Diamond League in Rabat, winning the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.28 seconds. This performance not only secured her the win but also broke the previous meet record of 12.45 seconds, which she had set last season.

This victory marks Amusan's second win in the 100m hurdles at the Diamond League. During the race, she demonstrated a strong start, matching her season's best time and quickly gaining an edge over her competitors, Devynn Charlton and Nadin Visser, who finished with times of 12.40 seconds and 12.47 seconds, respectively.

Amusan's ability to accelerate after the third hurdle allowed her to maintain a significant lead, ultimately crossing the finish line with three hurdles to spare. She is set to continue her impressive season at the upcoming Wanda Diamond League meet, the Golden Gala Pietro Mennea, in Rome, Italy, on June 4.
